I'm the best damn thing that your eyes have ever seen!

Good morning. (Just!) Don't you love the title of today's update? It's a new song of Avril Lavigne- remember, that singer that Livvie was trying to be a year or so ago? Her new album is basically all about girl power. =]

Right, I shall now attempt, once again, to put those London pictures on for you. Here goes...

Yay! Right, I can't remember what this is, but I do know they have to have 4 blackbirds- or maybe it was magpies? It was a bird that was black anyway- in the castle at all times for luck. When one dies, they leave it there until it can be replaced.

I have just been informed by a very amused mother that this is in fact the Tower of London, and is occupied by four Ravens. I was also informed that it is one of the most famous landmarks in Britain. I apologise for my un-history-knowledgeable stupidity. =]

Our tour guide, Marion, told us a "joke" about the moat here: "Why is there no water in the moat?" After much speculation, and her asking if anyone knew, she said "It's easier to cut the grass that way." The joke was so bad, that my English teacher, Mrs Darragh, actually asked if that was true!

This here is a very pretty picture of one of the many bridges we crossed: Marion getting over excited about each one! This particular one was Tower Bridge, and Vicki got a very pretty shot of it, I think.

At night, this bridge looks gorgeous, with all the lights on. I do have a picture of that, but it's from a distance and blurry, so I shan't post it.

Of course, Piccadilly Circus. We didn't get to stop here, but it was too cool not to post a picture of it! Looks a lot like Times Square, doesn't it? Shame I won't be going there: Unless someone wants to donate £800 to the Send-Emily-To-New-York fund?

ARGH! That's it, I've had enough of this 'Insert Image' rubbish. I'll use Photobucket. Then I can just copy the HTML tag exactly where I want it without having to frag it from the top. Which is very irritating. Anyway...

Me and Kieran, in Planet Hollywood. If Kieran does not want to pose for a photo, Kieran will not. I, however, am glad to! Here you can see the pretty dress that I wore to the theatre. I put those red bits in my hair especially for the trip, too!

This, my friends, is the next big thing. In this glass, there was at first just Coca-Cola. Little did this glass know it was soon to made into an all-in-one meal!

So yes, I had an overly mature moment and squirted ketchup into Katie's drink. She didn't want it, so why couldn't I play? Next went the salt. I tipped it in and the whole thing started to fizz and I had to stop before it overflowed. Kelly then added a chip, followed by some English Mustard. We topped the whole thing off with an onion ring, and it looked absolutely disgusting. Unfortunately, we couldn't get anyone to drink it for our entertainment, so we just took a picture of it instead. Ah, the joys of being a bunch of 15-year-olds in a restaurant!

Ahh, Big Ben. We drove right next to it. And, once again, Vicki put her photography skills to use and took a pretty picture of it!

This man was sat on a horse outside the main gates of the Houses of Parliament. 'Oh lah-di-dah,' you think, 'how exciting.' But then you look a little a closer at his face... Just look at the pout on that! He's loving all the attention he's getting from the surrounding girlies. I found it amusing. =]

Left to right: Vicki, Peggy, Emily, Sophie and me. We're sat on the war memorial thingy in Trafalgar Square. I don't know where Kelly was at this point, otherwise this picture would have been all the girlies. She was probably playing on a lion!

Here we all are, sat along the wall next to the Thames. We'd just come out of Shakespeare's Globe and had 3/4 of an hour to kill. Some of us went to Starbucks, and others went to find lunch. Kelly's taking this picture, hence she's not in it. I don't think she's in any of these...

Me in Planet Hollywood. I put this picture on purely because I like it. =]

Kieran wanted to pose this time. He calls this his Johnny Rotten face. I call it his child molester face. Anyway, behind him is Emily, and next to him is Joe. Joe lives just up the road and is a total angel. You lot'd love him!

Just a lion. In Trafalgar Square. In London. Where I was. =]

And finally, Mrs Darragh. She organised the whole trip. Mrs Darragh's my English and Drama teacher, and I think she's amazing. It's because of her that I keep getting all these As and A*s! (A*'s the bestest best grade you can get. And I got one in my mock English GCSE.)

And that's all the interesting pictures from London. Let me finish straightening my hair, however, and I have something else to show you.

Oh, a lot of you have been asking about Lee's glasses. We're going down to get them tomorrow, as the ones in the opticians in Meadowhall were naff and expensive. He doesn't look too bad in my glasses, but I think slightly less thick frames might suit him better. But I shall get a picture of him in them for you tomorrow!

Right, I've finished my hair, eaten lunch, and done everything else I needed to do. Now I shall show you what I promised to show you. Ready?

WE HAVE RED HAIR! Mine, as you can see, is completely red, whereas Livvie just has a slice.

Doesn't Livvie look skinny there? And look at my new nose stud sparkling. Better than that horrible gold thing, eh?

So, what do you think? Mother doesn't know about it yet. No doubt she'll be thrilled when she gets home from Wales though. =D

Finally, two hours after I started, my blog for today is done. I'll get a picture of Lee in his glasses for you tomorrow. Byyee!

xx

Well that was a nice blog :O) The photos of London bring back memories. My whole young life (up to my 30's) was spent there, working and socialising in the evenings.

Your hair looks cool ;O) I didn't think you were allowed dyed hair at school. Maybe it's only certain schools then.

It's the summer holidays! By the time I'm back at school, it'll have washed out.

If I went to school like this, they'd have my head!!

Ooooh ha ha ha! You can't remember what that place is called with the magpies? Ha ha ha! Excellent blog and cool hair colour. :0)

That was so interesting Emily, but very strange too. I grew up in London, as did Uncle Arthur and these place you were talking about were our 'hanging out' places. It seemed weird that you weren't really aware of your surroundings. The 'war Memorial' place was Trafalgar Square and it was home not only to the four lions, but to Nelson's Column. I'm glad you like Piccadilly Circus, but it was much nicer to my mind, before they moved Eros from the centre. Did you see Eros standing on one leg with his little bow and arrow? :0)

What an interesting blog! Would have been much nicer if the photo's had appeared for me:0(
I saw photo's as far as the glass of 'food', then I had nothing but links! Strange, because I could view the bedroom slides.

That's better, thanks Emily. I now have the pictures:0) I did a lot of my 'courting' around Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly, etc., so know it very well. I didn't know they had moved Eros from the centre, Leeta? That's terrible!
